gdm disallowtcp

DisallowTCP is an option of the GDM (Gnome Desktop Manager) which controls the behavior of X11 server on your Unix system.

In recent releases of Red Hat Linux, DisallowTCP is commented out by default, making it impossible for any external (over the network via TCP and not through the local Unix socket) connection to be made to your X11 server.

To enable incoming TCP connections to X11 server, make sure your /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf file has the DisallowTCP option uncommented and explicitly set to false:

DisallowTCP=false
